FIJI–SINGAPORE DISCUSS HEALTH COOPERATION

Fiji’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation permanent secretary Mrs Saipora Mataikabara met the non- resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Fiji, His Excellency Verghese Mathews at the Foreign Ministry in Suva today.

Mrs Mataikabara discussed with High Commissioner Mathews areas of cooperation between Fiji and Singapore.

This included capacity building in areas including climate change, health and trade cooperation.

During the meeting, High Commissioner Mathews reiterated his Government’s invitation for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and Mrs Mataikabara to visit Singapore.

Earlier today the High Commissioner called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs Ratu Inoke Kubuabola at his Office.

Fiji and Singapore established diplomatic relations on 30th November 1971.
