Fiji’s Honorary Consul General in Thailand, Mr. Chumpol Phornprapa, has donated USD$10,000 to the Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund. The donation was conveyed through Fiji’s Acting High Commissioner to Malaysia, Mr Pita Tagicakirewa.

“The Honorary Consul General had been kept informed of the relief efforts in Fiji with the view to mobilising support from the business community in Bangkok. Apart from this cash contribution, other in-kind donation will also be sent by ship to Suva,” Mr Tagicakirewa said.

“The High Commission is indeed grateful for the Honorary Consul General’s kind donation and also for organising other forms of assistance from the Thai business community,” Mr Tagicakirewa said.

Mr Phornprapa was commissioned as Fiji’s Honorary Consul General in Thailand in 2012.
