FIRST FEMALES MEAT WORKERS ON AUSTRALIAN PACIFIC LABOUR SCHEME

Meat Industries under the Australian Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) for the first time will receive three (3) female meat workers from Fiji.
 
They are part of the 3rd batch of thirty (30) meat workers that have undergone pre-departure orientation (PDO) training early this week.  They will be employed with Tey’s Australia as a General Entry Meat Process Worker.
 
The Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Osea Cawaru while closing the PDO reminded the workers on the importance of values, team work and to help each other.
 
Mr. Cawaru emphasized that their selection makes them Fiji’s ambassadors and the key to opening more doors for their fellow Fijians back home awaiting this great opportunity are in their hands. 

Of the third batch of 30, the first group of ten (10) workers is expected to leave for Junee, New South Wales on 4th September, 2019, second group of another 10 workers for Bindaree on 16th September, 2019 while the third group will depart for Tarnworth on 25th September, 2019.
