FTRB nets half a million

The Fiji Registration Board (FTRB) under the ambit of the Ministry of Education raked in slightly over half a million dollars at the end of September.

More are still coming in from other education districts. The money will be transferred to the Ministry of Finance as government revenue.

In another phase of this development, the Board of the FTRB has bee appointed by the Minister for Education in accordance with the Section 4(1) of the FTRB Promulgation of 2008, with representatives from the Primary and Secondary Schools, Ministry of Education, teacher Training Institutions, Institutions of Higher Education, School Managements, Parents representatives and Teacher Unions.

The Permanent Secretary for Education is the Chairperson of the Board.

The Board is expected to sit for the first time at the end of this week.
