Government and Non-Government organisations interested in recruiting from the Fiji Volunteer Service (FVS) can now select from a diverse skills pool which includes Nurses, Security personnel, Teachers, Accountants, Administrators, Engineers and Technical Officers.
With the assistance of Fiji’s Roving Ambassador to the Pacific Islands Ms Litia Mawi, the Pacific Island Countries will also be made aware of the respective professions for consideration of engagement.
The Public Service Commission permanent secretary Mr Parmesh Chand said that the continued strengthening of the strategic positioning of the FVS is still a priority to ensure its sustainability.
“In particular, we are promoting the regional component of the FVS as part of Fiji’s Development Co-operation initiative and that it be mutually beneficial to participating countries.”
