Underlining Fiji’s ever-growing popularity in the key China/Hong Kong markets, the colourful Fiji stand at this year’s ITE & ITE MICE show in Hong Kong has received an ‘Outstanding Award’ in the ‘My Favourite Stand’ contest at the prestigious event.
Co-ordinated by Tourism Fiji’s China office, the Fiji team at this year’s ITE included Air Pacific, Blue Lagoon Cruises, Mana Island Resort & Spa, Plantation Island Resort, Tanoa International Hotel and Vomo Island Resort.
Tourism Fiji CEO Josefa Tuamoto said the award fully underlined the interest with which Fiji is now being in north Asia, and particularly in China and Hong Kong, where the national tourist office is at hard work promoting the destination with its industry.
“The China market has proven one our strongest performers this year and is expected to grow strongly into the future.
“Given that Air Pacific will commence its direct Hong Kong-Nadi services in just four months, the timing of this award and the recognition that goes with on this region can be considered very timely indeed,”Mr Tuamoto said.
