Public servants in various districts and divisions around the country have been advised to fly the Fiji flag at half mast as a sign of respect, marking the passing away of the former President and the Late Turaga Na Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu.
The Public Service Commission permanent secretary Mr Parmesh Chand in a circular issued to all civil servants stated that all flags at public premises will fly at half mast until further notice.
The late Turaga na Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu Uluivuda was Fiji’s longest serving Head of State from 2000 till his retirement in July 2009.
