The Health Ministry in an effort to prevent and reduce non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is providing a NCD Collaborative Grant of up to $5000.
The aim of this grant is to assist non government organizations (NGOs), civil organizations or faith-based organisations towards health related outreach and community programs.
The Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma said “Collaborations as such result in more advocacy and literacy on NCDs and we encourage women groups, faith based organizations and youth groups to make use of this grant”.
There is much work needed in addressing NCDs such as diabetes, hypertension, mental health, cancer, stroke, substance abuse. The Health Ministry will be able to assist in preparing programs which will benefit society in developing better health systems.
