The public is advised to closely monitor the weather this week as we experience a change in the weather pattern.
Current weather forecasts indicate the possibility of a tropical cyclone forming this coming weekend, either Saturday or Sunday.
Ministry of Information permanent secretary Sharon Smith Johns pointed out that as this is the cyclone period, all necessary precautions should be taken into account.
“It’s important during our cyclone season that the public need to be well prepared and proactive”, Ms Smith Johns said.
“The advise that we are giving this week is to keep a close eye on the weather forecast as it is quite complex over the next few days with both rain and sunshine expected before the weekend ”.
Ms Smith Johns has urged the public to take head of media advisories and to ensure that all measures are taken to avoid any damages or loss of lives.
"While we don't want to alarm the public, everyone needs to take head of all warnings and not to be complacent"
