The revised General Orders for the Civil Service has been finalized.
The Public Service Commission permanent secretary Mr Parmesh Chand said the revision was undertaken to incorporate changes that have taken place in operation procedures in the civil service as well as the working conditions as part of the Civil Service reforms.
Mr Chand said the revised document would soon be printed and made available to all ministries, departments and agencies.
The Genera Orders prescribes the terms and conditions of service for civil servants as well as procedures followed in dealing with staffing and other matters in the Public Service.
It was last reviewed in 1993.
