With a few days left till the end of the academic year, the Education Ministry would like to remind final year students and those intending to leave their school for another school to get all relevant documents ready before the end of the Term.
The following important documents need to be obtained and filed properly:academic report cards, official examination result slips, references, results of oral assessments/communications, copies of marked projects and tasks which would be assessed the following year, medical report cards and clearance letters.
Students should bear in mind that this is the best time to collect all these documents as all teachers are still at school. It would be extremely difficult trying to obtain these important documents next year, since some teachers do apply for a transfer to another school, thus would not be available to provide assistance in this regard.
There have been instances in the past, where students decide to enrol at another school but were requested to submit the above documents before enrolment.
In addition, students are advised to take extra care of their belongings as all these cost money.
Time and again, students would be reminded at school of the need to be considerate of their parents¡¯ struggles and sacrifices in order to meet the demanding costs of education.
On indiscipline, the Ministry wishes to reiterate its earlier message that schools are special places for learning: learning to take responsibility of one¡¯s actions, learning to make the right choices and more importantly, learning to make one¡¯s dream come true .
There is no place for indiscipline or rowdy behaviour in school as this would obviously jeopardize one¡¯s future in education.
The Ministry hopes that with all the preparations towards the end of another academic year, all students would cooperate with teachers and follow school rules. Their pro-active contribution would surely shape the successful conclusion of another academic year .
