The works of the Order of Saint John International were today commended by His Excellency, the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, when he visited their headquarters and museum in London, England, and was met by Secretary General, Susan le Jeune d’Allegeershecque.
President Katonivere who is also the Patron of the local chapter of the Order of Saint John said that he is grateful for their work, commitment to community-oriented work, and plans for the communities inclusive of training and lifesaving skills.
“I especially acknowledge the support shown during the COVID pandemic in Fiji where the ambulances and staff of the Saint John brigade provided valuable support to the Ministry of Health,” said President Katonivere.
“I wish to thank you all for the opportunity to meet today as it will further solidify the growing passion that I now have for the work and the services of the Order of St John.”
The Head of State also expressed his appreciation towards the commitment of the Order of St John in supporting the Office of the President during official functions.
