18/05/2025

The Ministry of Education is proud to announce the successful installation of Starlink satellite internet in six remote schools across the interior of Viti Levu. This Government-led initiative, driven by the Coalition Government’s commitment to equitable digital access, ensures that students in even the most remote areas are not left behind.
The schools now connected are:
📚Nakorosule District School
📚 Naivucini District School
📚 Naboro Sawanikula School
📚Lewa SDA Primary School
📚Nawaisomo Primary School
📚Natutale District School
These schools now benefit from high-speed, low-latency, and cost-effective internet, enabling them to:
✅Access global educational resources and interactive learning platforms
✅ Conduct virtual lessons and teacher training programs
✅Improve school administration using digital tools
✅Strengthen STEM education and digital literacy for future-ready students
✅Leverage cloud calling and cloud-based applications for enhanced connectivity
This milestone aligns with the Ministry of Education’s vision and global initiatives led by UNICEF, ITU, and GIGA, which aim to connect every school in the world to the internet by 2030.
With shared purpose, Fiji is empowering students, strengthening communities, and building a digitally inclusive future.
