NEW BOARD WILL PUT SCHOLARSHIP AND LOAN SCHEME INTO ACTION
Putting into action the Bainimarama Government’s total commitment to education, the members of the independent Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Board (TSLB) have been named.
The TSLB will oversee the new Tertiary Scholarship (TOPPERS) and Tertiary Education Loan Scheme (TELS) programs and award scholarships to hundreds, and tuition loans to thousands of Fijian students along with living allowances.
All scholarships and loan programs will be reorganized into one overall scheme, and the new independent board will administer the new scholarship and loan scheme efficiently, transparently, and with fairness.

The Chairman of the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Board is Dixon Seeto, President, Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association. The other members are the Vice Chancellors of the University of the South Pacific, Fiji National University and University of Fiji, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education.
