The Permanent Secretary for the Public Service, Mr Parmesh Chand says all appointees to the Public Service will need to be well acquainted with the machinery of Government including processes and systems, procedures, rules and regulations etc to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of public services.
Mr Chand said to facilitate the Induction Programme, the Centre for Training and Development (CTD) at Nasese will reintroduce the conduct of compulsory induction programme for all new appointees to the public service.
“All ministries and departments have been requested to identify appointees from all occupational groups in the service who have yet to undertake the Induction Programme.”
“CTD on receipt of the survey responses will finalize participation with other relevant logistics regarding the conduct of the training programme,” Mr Chand said.
Completed survey forms are to be submitted to CTD by Friday April 2nd, 2010.
