Epi Joji Lailai will be doing work attachment with TPAF for two weeks and be paid $6-00 an hour for his efforts.
Master Navusalo who conducted the course said that his hope was for the remaining course participants to be able to do work attachment as well.
“We hope to employ them all, the main reason why I want them is that they have proven to be excellent workers and being their teacher and I know their capabilities.
Presenting the certificates, Deputy Commissioner Prisons Mr Katonibau told the graduates that they should be thankful for the chance that they are getting.
“You should be grateful because not too long ago, the only thing an inmate at Nasinu got to do was grow 100 mounts of cassava a day.
“I urge you to change your attitudes, take this second chance and do well for yourself and your family.”
The graduates and the officers of the Nasinu Reformative Centre and the Deputy Commissioner Prisons shared a lovu lunch to mark the organisation and to farewell Epi Joji Lailai.
