Japan (JICA) provide more volunteers

The Japanese Government under the Japan International Co-operation Agency [JICA], have over the years provided volunteers to Fiji and yesterday, the Permanent Secretary for the Public Service, Mr Parmesh Chand received and welcomed to Fiji six more Volunteers.
 
Mr Chand said these Volunteers were identified and selected in response to requests made by various Ministries, Departments and Agencies for priority areas where volunteers could be sourced to assist in our public service delivery and developmental work.  
 
These Volunteers would be deployed to the Provincial Office, Ra for Rural Community Development; Dreketi High School in Dreketi, Bua for Carpentry; at the Fiji National University College of Engineering, Science and Technology in Nadi for Aviation Engineering; at the Fiji Electricity Authority, Suva for Renewable Energy; to Fiji Meteorological Services, Computer & Information System, Nadi for Systems Engineering and at the CWM Hospital, Suva for Medical Instruments.   

The Volunteers would be deployed on short term basis between one to two years.
