We have to stop killing people on Fiji roads, through careless driving, irresponsible behavior, speeding and dangerous and reckless driving.
This was highlighted by Land Transport Authority (LTA) Chief Executive Officer Samuel Simpson at the LTA, Fiji Police Force launch of the festive season road safety campaign at their Valelevu Office.
“The purpose of this is to draw to your attention and the attention of the good citizens of Fiji, the Road Safety Campaign for the festive season 2019.”
“And I should say from the very outset that this campaign it is designed specifically to be ‘shocking’.”
Mr Simpson added the former campaigns that have been running in previous seasons haven’t gotten the message home to the targets.
“Our stop line for this campaign is ‘Keep Slaughter off Fiji Roads’, we make no apology for using very graphic images to portray the messages.”
“It is very important that we get the message across, and that is, we cannot continue with the slaughter on Fiji roads, it’s completely unsustainable”
The campaign on mass media starts today and will continue through the Christmas season and into the New Year.
