As school opens for the year, the Minister for Education, Mr Filipe Bole called on Principals and Head Teachers to place emphasis on the safe and security of children within their school premises.
While it is important that students attend school, it is also important that they feel safe when in school.
“Principals and head teachers are to make sure students are safe and secure within school premises. Please make arrangements that students,who are dropped off early in the mornings, are supervised by a teacher. Be reminded that the daylight savings still continues,” Mr Bole said.
Parents and guardians are also advised to be mindful of the daylight saving exercise and take utmost care when dropping their children early in school.
