The Minister for Justice and Acting Attorney General, Hon. Siromi Turaga, this afternoon informed senior officers that His Excellency the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, has appointed new leadership within the Fiji Corrections Service, effective 8 December 2025.
Mr. Auta Moceisuva, who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Corrections, has been appointed Acting Commissioner of Corrections. His appointment ensures continuity of leadership and the effective administration of the Service.
The Ministry also acknowledges the service and leadership of Mr. Sevuloni Naucukidi, who has been serving as the outgoing Commissioner of Corrections. Mr. Naucukidi will now resume duties in his substantive position following this transition, and the Ministry thanks him for his contribution and commitment during his tenure.
The Ministry further calls on all Fiji Corrections Service officers to continue working together in the spirit of unity, professionalism, and service. Strong collaboration across all levels of the organisation remains essential to maintaining stability and advancing the important work of the Corrections Service.
