His Excellency, the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, attended the Remembrance Day event at the National War Memorial Site in Nasese, Suva today (11/11/22).
Every year on the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month, the world pays its greatest respects to those who had sacrificed their lives in the Great War, the brave that had fought for our nation and the world. 11th November also observes the end of WWI in 1918.
Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama, Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, RFMF Commander, Ro Jone Kalouniwai, Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho, Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service, Commander Francis Kean, servicemen/women of the Republic of Fiji Military Force, Fiji Police Force, Fiji Correction Services, members of the Ex-Servicemen Association and their families, together with members of the diplomatic corps were part of today’s event.
