Students in the West division have shown tremendous enthusiasm and attraction to the books on water that have been displayed by the Library Services of Fiji during the World Water Campaign which started from Rakiraki and ends in Sigatoka today.
The Western Regional Library’s Librarian VaraniseseTusaqa said the books on water they have on display were realy interesting to students since it contains issues and water tips that most rarely know about.
Books that interested students include water related disasters like floods, tidal wave, tsunamis, and hurricanes.
Schools in the west where the library display on water were conducted included Penang Sangam in Rakiraki, Khalsa College and Kamil Muslim College in Ba, Lautoka Central Primary and Lautoka Central Secondary School in the sugar city while students in Nadi enjoyed the display at the water day celebration at the Prince Charles Park.
On Friday it was an opportunity for students of Sigatoka to view the display by the Library Services to the delight of students and teachers.
The World Water Day launch at Prince Charles Park this week also included an oratory contest on the Pacific theme organized by the Fiji Library Service. Students from various schools in Nadi showed their talent in public speaking.
