Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) secured the naming rights of the 4th annual Pacific Netball Series. It will be known as the LICI Pacific Netball Series.
Netball Fiji patron Mary Bainimarama received the $15,000 cheque from LICI’s acting general manager Sanjeev Kumar at the FASANOC office at Olympic House in Suva this morning.

Mr Kumar said LICI had been sponsoring and supporting many sports in Fiji because it understood its importance to the country.
“We do not want to lose this opportunity and we are very happy that this series will be called the LICI Pacific Netball Series,” Mr Kumar said.
He wished the Netball Fiji and LICI association well and said that he hoped their relationship forged today would continue for a long period of time.
“We will support the event in whatever best way we can,” Mr Kumar added.
Netball Fiji president Wainikiti Bogidrau said LICI had been operating in Fiji for more than 50 years now and was a prominent player in the private sector.
“Their many attractive and beneficial products have made them the insurance of choice for many people of Fiji. We are indeed very thankful to LICI for its generous support in monetary terms and in kind,” Ms Bogidau said.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) is a global Life Insurance company with headquarters in Mumbai India and covers more than 14 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Pacific.
Ms Bogidrau said Vodafone Fiji had also come on board to support the 4th LICI Pacific Netball Series as the telecommunication provider.
The first Pacific Netball series was held in Samoa in 2009, the second in the Cook Islands, and the third in Papua New Guinea last year.
The 4th LICI Pacific Netball Series will be held at Suva’s Vodafone Arena from June 27 to 30.
