Government is urging all Fijians, especially motorists, to prioritise movements in flood prone areas.
Ministry of Information permanent secretary Sharon Smith Johns said that the public needs to take heed of warnings by the DISMAC office calling on the public to restrict movements.
"The public needs to take head of this warning and only travel if its necessary", Smith Johns said.
"Government noticed that the public was travelling unnecessarily in the western division during the recent floods and some were even stranded at various points, so we don't want to see that happen again".
Smith Johns said that those travelling to airports around the country need to confirm flight arrangements with their airlines.
