MINISTER AKBAR URGES STUDENTS TO PRIORITISE EDUCATION

The Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Hon. Rosy Akbar has called on students to ensure that they have a good rest during the upcoming school break.

Speaking to students of Nawai Secondary School during the commissioning of their new school block, Minister Akbar highlighted the importance of education and the need for students to prioritise it.

“Today is the last day of school and I want you have a good rest during your break, reset your mind and return refocused for next term.

Minister Akbar stated that the Fijian Government has made education accessible for all Fijians.

The Minister stated that the opening of the new school block is a symbol of the Fijian Government’s commitment to providing a better learning environment for all Fijians.
 
“We believe that the right infrastructure is important and yesterday we were also in Tailevu where we commissioned a kindergarten and a hall.”
 
She stated that the Fijian Government through the Ministry of Education aims to provide good infrastructure for students around the country and called for cooperation from school managements.

Minister Akbar also urged parents take responsibility of their children during the school break.
