Students at the St Teresa of Lisieux College, who live in the interior parts of Nadroga Province, have been urged to continue focusing on their education.
Officiating at the opening of their new Teachers’ Quarters, Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Premila Kumar, told students to seek assistance from teachers or the Ministry when they need it since they are always willing to lend a helping hand.
Minister Kumar also urged parents and teachers to find out why students were not returning to class since it is crucial to get them back to school.
"I want to request the school management, the parents and guardians and the head of schools and teachers, to please try and find out why some of the students have not come back to school."
"Talk to these students and try and get these students back into the classroom. That's where they belong. Do not leave them at home. It is about their future. And we all have to help every child come back to school."
