05/08/2016

The Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Honourable Semi Koroilavesau and his team of officials will hold a week long public consultation in the Northern Division from the 8th to the 16th of August.

Minister Koroilavesau highlighted that the purpose of these consultations is to meet with workers, employers and the public, to discuss employment issues that affect them.

“I will also be promoting employment opportunities for overseas seasonal work and this is to reinforce Government’s recruitment focus from isolated rural and maritime communities to address the effects of Tropical Cyclone Winston,” Minister Koroilavesau said.

“I would like to encourage members of the public to fully utilize this opportunity and come forward to meet my Ministerial team on any issues relating to their employment matters or on employment opportunities for overseas seasonal work.”

The Minister highlighted that this public event is in line with Government’s commitment to an open door policy and the importance in effectively and efficiently delivering its services to the people.
