06/12/2012

Government has never wavered from its commitment towards making education accessible to all Fijians, as part of its recognition that education is a crucial factor to nation building.

In his congratulatory speech to students, teachers and parents of the Learning Centre in Suva this morning, Youth and Sports Minister Viliame Naupoto highlighted that students around the country have every right to an education and a decent one as well.

Officiating as chief guest at the school event, Minister Naupoto encouraged the 2012 Class 8 graduates at The Learning Center to always have a positive and determined attitude to allow them to achieve excellence.

“Striving to achieve excellence won’t be easy as one is bound to make mistakes along the way but you should always learn from the mistakes and never give up on hope”.

“Do your best as you will all be an adult one day and take over to lead this country forward into a bright and better FIJI,” Mr Naupoto said.

The Learning Centre’s head teacher Mr Henry Elder affirmed the school’s achievement in 2012 was possible through its dedication to instill into the school community the importance of respect for each other as family members.

The school’s vision is to mold the students into becoming respectful and responsible citizens in building a better country.
