A stern warning has been issued by the Ministry of Education to students and teachers that it will not tolerate anyone who has been found instigating hate mails.

“Teachers in schools are to promote values of life, which includes respect for justice, honesty, peace and fairness. We expect students and teachers to accept the result of the Fiji Athletics Finals and if they are not happy with it, then there is a process to follow as provided by the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association,” the Minister for Education Filipe Bole said.

“We will not tolerate attitude of cowardice where anonymous hate mails are posted to incite hostility and antagonistic feelings among schools and students.”

Mr Bole has also encouraged teachers to teach students to be civil in their attitude.

“Teachers , encourage your students to be brave enough to voice out their dissatisfaction and be ready to accept others point of view, to engage in dialogue and solve problems amicably,” the minister added.
