The Ministry of Youth and Sports received a token of appreciation from the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) today.
Minister for Youth and Sports, Parveen Kumar Bala was handed two jersey T-shirts autographed by members of the Fiji Rugby Sevens Men’s and Women’s team.
He thanked the representatives from FASANOC, acknowledging their work with Team Fiji leading up to the 2020 Summer Olympic Games which was recently held in Tokyo, Japan.
FASANOC President Ms Makarita Lenoa thanked the Government for its support towards Team Fiji’s preparation phase, especially the support of the Ministry staff.
“You have worked hard with the Ministry of Health to ensure that all participants were all well double vaccinated,” Ms Lenoa said.
She added that the results were successful as the participants returned from the summer games free of COVID.
