The Electronic Voter Register continues to grow momentum in parts of the country including the western division.
Team Leader for the Western Division’s registration team, Mr Parayame Cakacaka said that more people from the greater Lautoka area were expected to register today at the Elections Office based within the Commissioner Western's compound.
Mr Parayame has requested that those coming in to register must produce valid identification cards such as a drivers’ license, birth certificates, employment cards to name a few as some people had to be turned away. Social Welfare recipients can use their Social Welfare cards, Food Vouchers or Bus fare cards as a form of valid identification.
Mr Parayame has also confimed that registration centres within Lautoka have also been set up at Westpac, Gimit Hall,Simla,Fiji National University Campus, City Mall, Koroiyaca, Vitogo,Natalau,Viseisei,Koroipita,Matawalu,Vakabuli and Narokorokoyawa.
Registrations will continue until 5pm and will end on Sunday.
