Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, during the opening of a new Motorex Vehicle Inspection office in Tavua, stressed the importance of private and public sector collaboration.
The A-G noted that over the years the Fijian Government has sought to partner with the private sector to provide services that are generally provided by government agencies. He stated that this not only creates more jobs but will result in more efficient public service.
He also discussed the outsourcing of hospital operations in Ba and Lautoka to Aspen Medical in Australia, stating that this would increase local medical procedures since Fijians would no longer need to travel overseas for medical treatment.
Additionally, the A-G acknowledged Motorex Ltd for its confidence in the Fijian economy while expanding its business around the country.
