Marketing higher education in Malaysia

The Minister for Education Filipe Bole is calling on people interested in study opportunities in Malaysia to make good use of the Malaysian Education Exhibition held for two days at the Holiday Inn in Suva. 

This morning exhibitors of Malaysian universities launched their showcase to market higher education in their country .

The team led by Mr Kabilan Muniandy, director of the Malaysian higher education institute is working with the Fijian Higher Education Commission.

Mr Muniandy said the first batch of students from Fiji who responded to their first exhibition three years ago are expected to graduate this year.

“We are encouraging our people to go for higher qualifications so that they contribute effectively in making Fiji a knowledge based society,” said Ambassador Bole.

The Malaysian education exhibition has become a popular event since its inception in 2008.

This year’s event will include a  total of nine Malaysian universities, two of which are government owned and seven privately owned.
