The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ratu Inoke Kubuabola has reiterated Government’s support in enhancing better relations with the international community.
He made the comments in response to the decision by the Center for the Development Enterprise (CDE) to establish their Pacific headquarters in Fiji.
Ratu Inoke, on Friday afternoon met with the Director of the Center for the Development of Enterprise (CDE) Mr Jean-Eric Romagne and the Head for the CDE Pacific office to be based in Suva, Mr Jean-Pierre Mathey.
He conveyed Government's appreciation for the decision taken by the CDE to locate its Pacific office in Suva.
Ratu Inoke assured the CDE executives of the Ministry's support and facilitation in the process of establishing their headquarters, a role normally played by the Ministry for the Diplomatic Corp and International Organisations.
Director CDE, Mr Romagne expressed on their behalf their appreciation for the positive meetings held with various government ministries and agencies during their visit.
“The CDE and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will now work together to ensure the successful set up of the CDE Pacific office this year,” said Ratu Inoke.
“The senior executives of the CDE depart for Brussels today satisfied with their visit to Fiji.”
