The Ministry of Education is warning school head teachers and principals to keep out non-registrants even if they are civil servants or from organisations with interests in the school.
Some schools are still allowing people not approved by law to enter their classrooms and talk to children, which contravenes the legislation governing teacher registration.
Lately some personnel not employed by the Ministry of Education have been making wild and false statements to the media.
Some of these statements are close to breaching children confidentiality, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education.
Schools have the right to demand approval notices from the Fiji Teachers Registration Board (FTRB) and refuse them entry if none is produced.
The ministry wishes to let the public at large know that anyone intending to visit schools and access children are to first seek advice from the FTRB at the Ministry of Education headquarters.
The Ministry of Education warns it will activate relevant legal mechanisms to deal with people who continue to flaunt the system.
