NAMARAI GOVERNMENT STATION AN ADDED BOOST FOR FIJIANS IN RA

25/10/2022

Fijians of the 27 villages in the Tikina of Nakorotubu, Nakoilava, Navitilevu, Kavula, Mataso, Bureiwai, Bureivanua, and Nababa in Ra will now have an ease of access to critical Government services after the opening of the Namarai District Government Station by the Head of Government, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday (24/10/22).

Before, Fijians had to travel 60 kilometres to Vaileka to access Government services, now they have the opportunity to register the birth of a new-born child, and death notifications can be done at the new Government station.

Residents will now also be able to access the services of a Justice of Peace, with the inclusion of an Assistant Roko Tui to be based there.

“Even if the services you are looking for are not offered here directly, this District Office will serve as a link to those agencies that do provide them. You will not have to travel anywhere. As is the case for all Government stations across Fiji, all application forms for any Government assistance programme will be available right here onsite,” PM Bainimarama assured the villagers.
