NAVUSO DISTRICT SCHOOL CELEBRATES NEW FACILITIES

20/10/2022

It was a celebratory occasion at the Navuso District School as Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned three of its school/classroom blocks today (20/10/22) – a library, a furnished computer laboratory and a classroom.

Students from Muainase, Navuso Village, Waila, Corbet, Duilomaloma and Vuniniudrovu who attend the school can now enhance their learning capabilities in excellent educational facilities that will allow them to develop and achieve everything that they want out of life.

“I want to emphasise that my Government is not satisfied simply with being the first to provide free, compulsory education for every child. We have always said that every Fijian student must have access to an equally high standard of learning, no matter where they live – whether in an urban city or in a rural maritime community.”

“We have prioritised the education of Fijians of all ages, introducing the Free Education Grant, Free Bus Fare and Free Textbooks to name a few. I am proud to say that we are the first Government to provide truly free early childhood, primary and secondary education for every child,” PM Bainimarama said.

The Fijian Government is also committed to the fact that education is the greatest investment made because it allows resilience to create solutions that were once unimaginable.

“It brings us together by levelling the playing field of Fijian society. And it sets us on a lifelong journey of self-improvement that better our lives and better Fiji,” the Head of Government stated.
