NDMO RECEIVES NEW LAPTOPS FOR DATA MANAGEMENT

07/09/2021

Data management work by the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) has been boosted with the donation of two high-end laptops by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Fiji.

The donation was made possible through funding support from the Australian Government under the Australian Humanitarian Partnership’s (AHP) COVID Activation 2 Project.

In receiving the items, Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management’s Director Corporate Services Mrs. Ana Tora thanked the Australian Government and ADRA Fiji for the timely donation.

“On behalf of our Minister and Permanent secretary, I would like to convey our sincere appreciation to ADRA Fiji for your kind donation today which is made possible through the Australian Humanitarian Partnership. These laptops will surely be of great help for information management purposes for our disaster operations and also in our ongoing support towards the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 operations,” Mrs Tora said.

The laptops cost around $8,000.

ADRA Fiji’s Finance Director Mr. Bou Mawi said the organisation was pleased to be able to assist NDMO in the area of data management, through the provision of the two laptops.
