The Chief Executive Officer of NVC Group, Mr John Butler, a new Aged-Care employer is currently in the country this week to recruit Fijian workers for employment opportunities in Australia under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme.
NVC Group is a dynamic and growing organisation providing quality aged care in the form of low and high-care facilities. It also operates a variety of retirement and lifestyle living options on the Mid-North Coast.
In a courtesy visit yesterday (30/08/22), the Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Mr Osea Cawaru thanked Mr Butler for taking the time to visit Fiji and meeting the team.
“I warmly welcome you on behalf of the Fijian Government and wish to express our sincere appreciation for choosing Fijians as your “employee of choice,” said PS Cawaru.
Mr John Butler and his team are here to conduct interviews to recruit 20 aged-care workers who are currently in the Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) Work Ready Pool and are APTC graduates with Certificate III in Individual Support / Aged Care and Certificate IV in Disability.
“We will also work on having Fijians to further their training while employed as an opportunity for future career pathway to give them something they might get aspired to, to achieve,“ said CEO Butler.
Mr Butler will also visit Sangam School of Nursing, Labasa to see the students currently undertaking the National Certificate in Aged-Care and Community Care to introduce the services provided by NVC Aged-Care and on the required standards.”
In his next visit to Fiji, CEO Butler looks forward to visiting the aged-care facilities here in Fiji to provide support and assistance on the standards of services provided.
