NEW DESKTOP COMPUTERS FOR RKS STUDENTS

23/03/2025

Students of Ratu Kadavulevu School got a boost to their educational tools to assist in their academics with a set of new computers worth more than $36,000.

The handover of the new desktop computers is expected to assist students with their computer classes and generally with academic qualifications at secondary school level.

Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Sakiusa Tubuna, officiated the handover at the school chapel on Friday (21.03.25).

A former scholar himself, Asst. Minister Tubuna encouraged the students to work hard and to achieve their purpose of study in the institution.

“Do not be complacent when you are here; look for something meaningful to lay your hands on, read books and read more books."

“First of all, set your targets for the year and, within it, your individual goals for the term and the time you will be here in this school. Start thinking about what you want to do in life and follow it up with the necessary study plan to execute this plan from when you begin at Form 3 (Year 9); don’t wait until you reach Form 6 (Year 12) to do this.”

“We want to hear the news of the school that is positive and that students have passed their academics with good results.”

“So don’t be complacent; don’t allow any time to pass by aimlessly; be purposeful. If you need to wash your clothes, do it; if you have a book, read a book. Nowadays some children don’t read books but what you do here at school will help you when you go out from here into the world,” Asst. Minister Tubuna advised.
