The newest permanent voter Registration Centre is now open in Nausori, becoming the third Registration Centre open around the country.
“This centre will give Fijians living in the Suva-Nausori corridor the opportunity to register to vote for the 2014 parliamentary elections at their convenience,” said Acting Permanent Secretary Responsible for Elections, Mohammed Saneem.
Mr Saneem said that young Fijians in particular are encouraged to make use of this new facility as they turn 18.
The new Registration Center is located in the Government Information Center, Ground Floor, Hemron Plaza, Nausori and is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm.
Mr Saneem encouraged Fijians who were already registered to check that their personal details are correct at the Registration Centre.
Permanent Registration Centres are also currently open in Lautoka and Labasa.
