NEW RESIDENT MAGISTRATE SWORN-IN

Fiji’s judiciary has welcomed another addition to its ranks following the swearing in of a resident magistrate this morning.

Resident Magistrate Mr Jioji Boseiwaqa was ceremoniously sworn in at Government House before His Excellency the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.

Mr Boseiwaqa, holds a Masters of Law (LLM) from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) from the University of the South Pacific.

He was admitted to the bar in 1998 as a Barrister & Solicitor for the High Court of Fiji and was also the Principal Legal Officer for the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

Also present at the swearing in ceremony was the Chief Justice, Anthony Gates.
