A new website for Lami town council was launched by the Minister for Local Government, Urban Development, Housing and Environment, Samuela Saumatua today.
The new website demonstrates the growth of the town towards new technology and better services said the Minister.
Minister Saumatua said since Lami’s establishment in 1977, the town has accelerated its developments.
“The town has stamped its mark internationally; being awarded for photo competition on climate change in Korea and in the near future it is working towards a garden town. The website will improve efficiency in business and contributes towards health, welfare and development of amenities through easy access and quick response,” Minister Saumatua said.
He said that the Ministry is simplifying and strategising all councils to be cost effective and time saving so that people can have access to services both locally and those residing overseas.
The Minister urged council managers and staff to strengthen customer service delivery.
