NYTC opens applications for 2010 intake

Applications for National Youth Training Centre 2010 intake are now open.

The NYTC which is managed by the Department of Youth and Sports runs a second chance skills training programme aimed at school dropouts living in rural areas.

The Sigatoka based institution has availed application forms at all Department of Youth and Sports divisional offices in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa and all provincial offices.

Training programmes that are on offer include the Training and Productivity Authority of Fiji Level III Trade Certificate in Carpentry, Basic Agriculture, Multi Skills and live stock training including poultry, bee keeping and piggery.

Applications close on the 13th of November.

Meanwhile, the Department of Youth and Sports will conduct a monitoring and evaluation survey on current and former NYTC trainees at the end of October.

Two teams are expected to do follow ups in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu concurrently and will carry out their surveys in a total of ten provinces.
