Naivalurua banks on public partnership

New Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua says the key to the Fiji Police Force achieving all its goals is a strong partnership with the community and general public.

And it is important that the force executes its functions with ease and effectiveness.

Brigadier General Naivalurua, who is also the Commissioner of Prisons, commended his predecessor Commodore Esala Teleni for laying the foundation for future commissioners to build on.

He is looking forward to take up his new post with the hope he can continue the good work, from where Teleni had left off.

“I acknowledge and appreciate the work done by Commodore Teleni for laying a foundation which we can build and move forward,² Brigadier Gen Naivalurua said.

“I will press forward with the goal to deliver an improved Fiji Police Force-a force that is good, honest and above all trusted to look after you.²

He also praised the work of all officers serving in the Fiji Police Force and looks forward to leading them to an improved force.

“I would like to assure the people of Fiji that I am committed to doing my best as your police commissioner, I acknowledge the hard working men and women of the force and look forward to working with them,² the new Police Commissioner said.
