Nepal Ambassador visits Fiji

The new non-Resident Ambassador of Nepal to Fiji, His Excellency Mr Yogendra Dhakal presented his credentials to His Excellency the Acting President of Fiji His Excellency, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau at Government House yesterday. HE Dhakal also paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama at the Office of the Prime Minister.

HE Dhakal said he was honored to be appointed as Nepal’s Ambassador to Fiji and is grateful for the opportunity to be able to develop further his country’s relationship with Fiji.

HE Dhakal was optimistic of the future relationship between Fiji and Nepal indicating that there was a good potential to develop the scope of cooperation in trade, investment and tourism.

HE Dhakar graduated with a Master Degree(In Economics) from Kanpur University in India and is a writer/political analyst/journalist.

He adds Nepal and Fiji would cooperate with each other on important international issues of common concerns in different international forums and is satisfied of both countries contribution to the maintenance of international peace and security by providing peacekeeping forces under UN agencies.
