Three new legislations have been introduced to the Fiji Corrections Services.
These legislations, FCS Commissioner, Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu says is to bring about major changes in the department.
“This will enhance our effective effort as well as embrace some dramatic change in FCS,” Lt Colonel Vasu said.
These are the Corrections Act 2006, Commissioners Local Order and the Commissioners Order.
The Commissioner said workforce reform was a process for change and in this modern world change was essential for progress.
Participants at the FCS Good Governance & Workplace reforms workshop held at the Government Training Centre at Nasese will get the opportunity to go through these legislation documents.
“I urge each one of you to give it your full consideration as we deliberate on the documents,” Lt Colonel Vasu said.
The three-day workshop will conclude this Friday.
