An oasis, for specially challenged children is taking shape along the Coral Coast and boasts to be one of its kinds in the world.
Natavora Waters Resort, where the Attorney-General, Minister for Justice, Anti-Corruption, Public Enterprise, Industry, Tourism, Trade and Communications Mr Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is expected to officiate this afternoon, will provide facilities that cater especially to the needs of special children.
Resort owners Yorkshire Holdings Limited have completed stage one of the project that includes the construction of a restaurant, bar together with double bures on the forefront that Mr Khaiyum will open in a short while.
The company has already invested about $3m in the initial stages.
This has generated about 22 jobs for the landowners from Tagaqe village.
Managing director David Brown said the resort project is in three phases.
Phase two involves the construction of about 100 rooms and a central complex while the final phase will include further developments that will make the resort a complete getaway for special challenged children from around the globe.
“Natavora will provide support infrastructure to allow families with special needs children from all around the world an opportunity to enjoy their holidays with the full support of trained special needs care givers,” he said.
“A resort of this size cannot be found anywhere else in the world.”
