Northern schools to resume classes

Schools in the North will resume normal classes from Monday 22nd March.

However, four schools will have their classes delayed because of much needed preparations to be carried out prior to the resumption of classes.

They are Naikelikoso Primary and Cikobia District schools, which will start Tuesday 23rd March, while classes for Duavata Secondary and Duavata Primary will resume later this week or by latest Monday 29th to allow preparations for makeshift classrooms.

The Minister for Education Mr Filipe Bole will this week visit Naikelikoso Primary School and a few others in a two- day visit to view damages caused by the cyclone. 

The Cakaudrove Schools included in the Minister’s itinerary are  Batibalavu District School, Nasavusavu Secondary School, Nagigi SDA Primary School to be visited on Tuesday 23rd March.

On Wednesday 24th March, the Minister will visit Macuata schools. These are: Nakelikoso Primary School, Qawa Primary School, Ulubau Primary School, and Vunimoli Secondary.
