Nuskin, the 7
th largest USA based philanthropic organization will be supplying free vita - meal to children in Fiji from next month
The Ministry of Health said the company will be supplying 3500kg of vitamin fortified rice and lentil to Fiji on a quarterly basis.
“This is part of Nuskin’s “Feed the Children” initiative where it supplies 300,000 meals to children in Africa on a daily basis,” said a MOH statement.
“Fiji will be the first country in the Pacific to be granted such donation from Nuskin which brings a lot benefit to our children.
“This will address the issue of malnourished and undernourished children in Fiji.”
The ministry said the supply will be distributed to health centers and hospitals around the country
“This will assist the Ministry in the attainment of MDG 4 which is reducing child mortality,” a MOH statement said.
The Williams & Goslings Limited and Tappoos Group of companies is assisting in the transportation of the supplies from Auckland.
